I forgot how much babies develop at this stage - it feels like everyday Sloane is doing something new! It's so exciting to watch our little girl experience all these big milestones and come into her own. She is so darn sweet and we are so incredibly blessed. Here are just some random thoughts I wanted to capture at this 11 month mark:
- She is very much still a Mama's girl. I love having that special connection with her. I tell Justin to watch out b/c we will gang up on him before he knows it. :)
- She is walking while pushing the Mickey car. She will let go and stand on her own for a few seconds and then fall to the ground. She is very proud of herself when she does this.
- Her top two front teeth are starting to pop through and she eats everything I give her. She eats 'people' food and I love it. She's so much farther along in eating than B was at this stage. Bennett still isn't such a great eater so it's nice to have one that is.
- She can hold her own bottle now. I always have Bennett 'supervise'. He loves being in charge. In fact, he often is passing her snacks across the backseat of the car. Thank goodness for older siblings!
- She sleeps 11-12 hours a night. The morning nap isn't so great, mostly b/c we're always in the car or she's in daycare at the gym. I feel guilty about that, but everyone says thats how it goes with #2. She sleeps about 1.5-2.5 hours in the afternoon. Both kids take big afternoon naps so I'm able to enjoy some quiet time while cleaning up messes, doing dishes, laundry, cleaning, etc.
- She is babbling a ton and making loud squealing sounds when she gets excited. The girls at the gym tell me she's always "talking". She still says Mama, Dada and Hi but no new words lately.
- She is SO easy. She's always smiling and just goes with the flow and gives the BEST hugs.
Here are some pics of Sloane I snapped on my phone the last few days. She doesn't have a photo album yet but I've uploaded most of them to Shutterfly. Maybe one day I'll get around to ordering them and putting them in an actual album. Yeah, I'm an awesome mom.
