Play Date with Landon

Today Bennett and I met my friend Andrina and her darling little boy, Landon for lunch in the marina. Landon is 1 day older than Bennett. After lunch and some shoppin', we went to the yacht club to hang out and let the boys play a little. They are total buds already.

4 Month Stats

I can hardly believe Bennett is 4 months old already! Where has the time gone? We had a great check up with the pediatrician today. Here are B's 4 month stats:

Head: 16 1/2 inches - 50th percentile
Height: 26 3/4 inches - 95th percentile (Papa Phelan will be most proud of this stat!)
Weight: 14 lbs. 10 oz. - 50th percentile

Saying Goodbye......

This past weekend we traveled back to Remsen, Iowa to say goodbye to my Grandpa. He was 90 years old and lived a great life. It was sad to say goodbye but we were glad we could spend time with family and be there to support my mom. I think the warmest it got was 10 degrees and the lowest was - 15! We had Bennett so bundled up you could barely see his cute little face! I didn't take many pictures but here are a few.....

O' Holy Boy

Today was Bennett's baptism and brunch at St Charles in San Carlos. We had a wonderful time with our family and close friends. We love Fr. Dave and look forward to getting to know him better over the years. He has promised to put in a good word for Bennett so we can get him into Serra High School (home of Barry Bonds and Tom Brady). As you can guess, this is the Catholic school of choice for Justin. :)

Slacker Mom

While we were watching the Golden Globes last night (we only lasted til 9pm before we both passed out), Justin pointed out that I had been a bad blogger last week. Bennett and I had plans on our social calendar every day soI was bad about taking pictures. Sorry! Here are a couple I managed to take.....


Bennett likes to talk to his singing giraffe on his changing table every morning.

Asleep in his swing holding his favorite bear while Justin was babysitting......I snuck away to see a movie by myself yesterday. My first time. :)

I took this picture especially for my mom....he's getting a lil chub on his thighs finally! He's still a long string bean though. His feet are busting through 3-6 month sleepers already.

This picture says it all.......every morning before Justin leaves for work he gets Bennett from his crib and brings him into bed with us. Once Daddy leaves, Bennett takes over his entire side of the bed and snoozes for a few more hours. He always sleeps with both arms stretched out. It's so cute. Bennett has been sleeping like a champ the last 3 nights.....in bed by 8:30/9pm, up at 5am for his morning feeding, then back down until 7:30/8. I hope this routine continues!
