I am happy to announce that Bennett is finally potty trained! We hadn't tried any PT as of yet, so after consulting with many friends and preschool upon us, I decided to give the 3 day PT method a shot for our first go around. Being trapped in our house for 3 days was tough, but we made B throw every single diaper and pull up AWAY and go straight to underwear. Day 1 was a huge success - no accidents, a poop on the potty, and woke up dry from nap and nightime. Day 2 we experienced a few pee accidents but he still woke up dry from nap and nightime. Day 3 was a success with no accidents AND telling me when he had to go (including a poop!). His favorite part is flushing b/c flushing the toilet is so exciting ya know. :)
Today we ventured out of the house for a morning play date and then a lunch date. (Can you tell I was DYING to get out of the house and see friends?) He had no problem going potty in public restrooms (which I was a little worried about). I am so proud of Bennett. I know we'll experience some accidents in the future and no kid is perfect, but he really made this whole PT process so easy on us. I told Justin we are so lucky b/c every major change in his life he has experienced thus far, he has had no problem adjusting. He gave up the bottle cold turkey with no crying/whining, same deal with the pacie, transitioned to his boy boy bed with no issues and now PT. I am one happy Mama!!

2 Months
I can't believe another month has gone by. Sloane is going great. She is smiling a ton now, is up for longer stretches during the day, loves playing on her activity mat (and is even scooting at 45 and 90 degrees already), sucks on her hands and fingers, and likes sticking her tongue out and smacking her lips. I love watching all her new facial expressions develop. She is our mini Justin. I think she looks more like him than Bennett did as a baby. Bennett is pure entertainment for her - she likes to watch him play and always turns her head in the direction of his voice and smiles. B adores his baby sister. Yesterday she was sitting in her bouncy chair and I walked out to find him wiping her mouth with a burp cloth b/c "mommy she spit up" and then he put her binkie in. He is so loving and caring towards her. The 6-7 week mark was a bit rough for us as Sloane had long crying spurts late at night. I'm glad that was short lived though. I can remember sleeping in the guest bed with Bennett lying on me for 2 weeks when he was that age just to get him to sleep. The past 3 nights Sloane has slept 7-8 hours!
