Yesterday we had such a fun afternoon. We headed over to the Moretti's for some pool time and B LOVED every second in the water. In fact, he was not happy with me when I pulled him out to sit on the lounge chair to dry off. After the pool, we headed to the neighbors to feed apples to their horses and see the chickens. Bennett loved it! I wish I could have taken a picture of his face when he saw the horses, but my hands were full.

Relaxing after water polo - J/K!
This is him staring at Annalia......he seriously watches her every second. I hope they grow up to be best buddies.

Memorial Day Weekend

My parents came to visit this weekend. Even though the weather wasn't great, we managed to get a lot of little projects completed and do some fun decorating around the house. I always love it when my parents come to visit b/c it's like a mini vacation for me since they love doing everything for Bennett. God bless grandparents. :)

Playing with Grandma. He prefers to stand all the time. It's a great arm workout!
Bennett is now eating solids 3 times a day. Getting that first bite in is quite a challenge but once we get going he seems to chow down. Grandma took over feeding duties this weekend.
Hanging with Papa.
Papa's belly is a great armrest. :)

Music Class

Every Wednesday after B's morning nap we head to music class. He is the youngest kid in class (ages range from 7 months - 2.5 years) and is thoroughly entertained by Teacher Nicole and all the kids around him. Here are some videos I took of our cute little music student. :)

Saturday at the Park

We hung out at San Carlos Hometown Days on Saturday with friends and had a blast. We missed the parade due to morning nap schedules, but made it to the afternoon festivities in the park. Even though it was 97 degrees, we stayed cool in the shade and the kids had fun rolling around in the grass.

Bennett, Annalia and Riley. B was so happy next to the girls!

The guys stayed close to the beer garden. :)

New Sleeping Bag

Bennett received a package from Great Aunt Peg yesterday, his first mini sleeping bag! He loved it but didn't like being zipped inside. He had the most fun playing with the box it came in. Ahhhh the simple things! :)

I

B liked the nose on the tiger pillow.

He played in the box for 30 minutes before I got bored sitting in the hall and took him out.

I tried to get a face shot but B was too busy in the box. Getting a 7 month old to pose for a picture is nearly impossible, but I'll keep trying!

Just Another Thursday Night....

Justin came home a little early from work tonight. I walked back to the nursery to see what the boys were up to and Justin had put Bennett in his Giants outfit. Justin said he had to be ready for the game tonight. How cute is our little Giants fan?

The boys went out to work in the yard. My parents are coming next week so Justin always likes to get the yard in shape before the inspectors arrive!

My First Mother's Day

What a special day I had with my two favorite people. I woke up to a Starbucks latte, a dozen roses from Bennett (ahhh he's such a charmer already), and a new Flip video camera. I'm so excited to start taping Bennett! We enjoyed an awesome brunch in Palo Alto and spent the rest of the day lounging around at home. It was such a great day and one I'll never forget. Being a mom is the BEST job ever and something I could not do without the support of my amazing husband!

Perfect Saturday

Today was such a fun day with my boys! Bennett took a 2 hour morning nap while I cleaned the house. After he woke up, we headed up to the city to go on a long walk and have a late lunch on Chestnut. The weather was absolutely perfect and we had a wonderful time.

Ready for the city Mom! Seriously, how cute is that face?

On our walk to Golden Gate Bridge. Bennett loved all the people/dog watching. He feel asleep about 3/4 of the way.
He prefers to be sitting up and leaning over so he can see everything.

What a beautiful view. We miss living in the city so much!

When we got home it was time for dinner. Bennett will NOT keep his bib on so I decided to take his shirt off and let him get messy.

Mommy happy with some vino and her bambino. :)

Future Babysitter

Yesterday my friend Tatum and her two kids came over for a play date after school. Bennett loved watching the kids run around while Tatum and I drank some wine and caught up. This is a picture of Paige (almost 6) and Bennett. Paige LOVES Bennett and wants to babysit him when she's old enough. Paige is so cute and so smart and I have a feeling that Bennett might have a crush on her when he gets older. :)

Random Tuesday

I always put Bennett in his crib while I put his books and things away in the morning. He used to stare at his animals and "talk" to them, but now he immediately turns to the side, puts his hand on the side of the crib and tries to push himself up to see what I'm doing.

Peaking over to see what I'm doing. :)

No tacos for this guy on Cinco de Mayo. Instead he LOVED pears, mangos and sweet potatoes today. I couldn't believe how much he ate. Solids have been tough for us. One week he likes them, one week he wants nothing to do with them. I've read that when babies are teething they can be uninterested in food, so let's chalk it up to his new chompers. I was secretly afraid he inherited my finicky gene.

Aunties In Town

My Aunt Peg and Deborah were in town the past 4 days and we were excited to spend time with them! Even though the weather didn't cooperate, we still managed to have lots of fun and keep busy. Bennett loved all the attention from the girls and wanted to be up playing with the big kids instead of napping. Four straight days with the longest nap lasting only 45 minutes. I have no idea where he gets all his energy, but he sure is one happy little guy.

I tried to get a closeup of B's new tooth (bottom front left) but obviously that was impossible! The drooling is endless these days. The bottom front right tooth is about to pop through the skin any day now.

On Saturday we drove up to the city and went to Farmer's Market in the Ferry Building. I have to laugh that we didn't purchase any fruits, vegetables or fresh flowers but left with a few nice bottles of vino from our favorite wine merchant store. Here is Bennett and Peg at lunch at one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. BTW - he preferred to stand in his big boy seat. He doesn't like to sit but stand all the time now. Let's just say my arms are getting quite sore these days.

Peg loved giving Bennett his bath. He only peed on her once!

His hands are ALWAYS in his mouth!
