I was so grateful to have my best friend Katie come visit us from Portland this past weekend. I had such a wonderful time with her doing what we usually do together....we shopped, got mani/pedies, drank vino, gossiped and laughed a lot! Being a pediatric OT and mom, she was such a HUGE help with Bennett and taught Justin and I so many newborn tips and tricks and answered so many questions I had about breastfeeding. Every time Bennett would start to fuss Katie would grab him and calm him down right away. We nicknamed her "The Bennett Whisperer" b/c she just seems to have that magic touch with him and he slept on her for hours each day. I was so sad to have her leave today.....it was nice to have some much needed "girl time" and dish about all my new mom anxieties. We love you Kate!
