The Big 2!

Last Thursday we celebrated Bennett's 2nd Birthday! It's hard to believe our little man is already two and growing so fast. My mom came down to visit and Justin took the day off work, so we took Mr. B to Happy Hollow Park to enjoy the rides and animals on his special day.

Getting ready for his first roller coaster. You have to be 36" and B just barely made it. We had to laugh since he was standing on his tippy toes when the lady measured him. Smart kid!

Cracking up at his little head.
He rode the roller coaster 3 times that day.
Beep, beep. He loves driving the cars.
On the dragon ride with Gma. Big smile.
He did his parade wave each time he went by. So funny.
A couple presents to open when we got back. He's not very interested in opening presents yet. I'm sure that will change soon!

Enjoying chips and guac at Celia's in his old #1 bib. I was saving the new #2 bib for his party on Saturday. :)
They sang Happy Bday to B and then he devourer ed his ice cream.

First Day of School

Today was Bennett's first day back to school! He will attend 2 days a week for 2 hours - 1 day with me, and 1 day by himself. Can I tell you how excited I am for the drop off day?! Two whole hours to myself - ahhhh sounds like heaven. :) B and I started off the morning with a special treat - breakfast at Starbucks. Okay, who am I kidding, I needed my latte before I was about to hang out with 26 energetic 2 year olds!

Circle time at the end of class where we sing songs. B was dancing in the middle of the circle, clapping, and jumping. He is so charismatic and I can't wait for him to take a super long nap after all the activity today. Ha!

B and his friend Lucy.

Playing in the rocks and going down the slides were a few favorites.

Take B Out to the Ballgame....

Justin took his favorite son to see his beloved Giants play the Arizona Diamondbacks today. He wanted Bennett to have the perfect first game experience, so they were at the park 2 hours before game time. With a trip to the Dugout store, an autograph signing with a Giants player, food consumption of a soft pretzel, chicken nachos, and a churro; it seems Bennett had a perfect day at the park.

Ready for the choo choo ride to SF.

In Willie Mays Plaza outside AT&T Park.

Big Giants fan and mini Giants fan.

Running laps around McCovey Cove.

B got Pat Burrell's autograph on his ticket. That one will go in the baby book!

He played on the trolley in center-field for a looooong time.

I'm willing to bet that this picture will be Justin's new screen saver. :)

Back to play on the trolley again.

They lasted 3 innings at the park before it was time to take B home for nap.

Frequent Flier

It's hard to believe, but Bennett just took his last FREE flight before he turns two! Here he is on our flight home from Redmond/Bend yesterday. This kid has taken 13 round trip flights since his birth. I'm not one to brag, but he is an excellent traveler and people always comment to me on how good he is on the plane. Once he got mobile flying was a lot more stressful, but thanks to lots of Sesame Street and Mickey Mouse movies, it's made my life a lot easier!

Summer Fun

Wow, has it been a busy summer for us so far. I'm about a month behind in blogging, so I thought I'd post a few random photos over the past few weeks.

In mid-July, Val and Mark came to visit for a few days. One day we went up to the city and took B on his first trolley ride. We had so much fun and Val and Mark were such big helps around the house and yard. We love having them visit.

We headed to Tahoe with J's parents and Julie and Ryan in late July. Here are the boys in Donner Lake.

Picnic lunch on the beach. B liked passing out beer to the guys.

In early August, B and I flew home for my college girls reunion in Oregon wine country. My parents watched B all weekend and said he was an angel (of course they would say that!). The fire department was driving by, so my Dad took B out to see the big truck.

The firefighters let B hop in the front seat and test out the big steering wheel.

Eagle Crest

Bennett and I just returned from a lovely week at Eagle Crest with my family. We were sad Justin couldn't join us, but we still had a blast. I've been going to Eagle Crest every year with my family since I was in 7th grade, so it was extra special for me to make new memories there with my little guy and my favorite niece and nephew. :)

B and Kennedy cleaning the windows early one morning. Kennedy was getting potty trained so B and Carter enjoyed all the reward treats after she successfully used the potty.

Riding his bike from Papa and Gma.
We hit the pool everyday b/c it was so hot. B's favorite was getting thrown in the air by Uncle Kyle. B would sign "more" after each toss and Kyle kept going and going. He is such a good Uncle and so attentive to Mr. B.

Do you see how high Kyle threw him?

Every night Kyle would take the kids in the backyard and play football and soccer. The neighbor boys joined in on the fun too. The kids loved it and they were definitely worn out each night after all the activity.

We had deer sightings each day. B loved it!

Playing cribbage with Uncle Kyle.

Such a multi-tasker huh? Reading books with Papa and brushing his teeth at the same time.

Feeding the ducks. B left the big one eat bread right out of his hand. He loves animals.

Playing golf with Papa.

Wrestling with Uncle Kyle

We walked to the park every morning with the kids.

These two are so cute together, but a handful. I'm so glad I don't have twins! They were really loving toward one another or else playing tug-of-war.

Bike ride with Uncle Kyle. Doesn't Kennedy's helmet look so good on B?

Play-Doh time
