Mr. Personality

These past few weeks Bennett's personality has really been coming out. He's motoring around everywhere and getting into everything which has been bringing out different sides of his personality. It's no wonder why I'm exhausted at the end of the day chasing after him! We have so much fun playing together and he smiles and giggles all the time. He is pointing at everything which is pretty funny. I'm trying to teach him to wave goodbye and when he moves his hand in the wave motion, he points his finger while doing it. I'm also trying to teach him to give kisses. He won't kiss me, but he'll kiss George (his stuffed monkey from cousin Carter). He is super attached to his "lovie" blanket and George lately, and won't go to sleep without cuddling them. I especially love it when he "talks" to George in his high pitched voice. Yes, B has been making me laugh a ton lately and I'm having so much fun with him, but he definitely has his "moments" from time to time which can be challenging for me too. I find myself saying "no" a million times a day, but instead of saying no constantly, I try and redirect him to do something positive as an alternative. Sometimes he will look directly at me and keep doing what I just told him not to. I never knew a 11 month old would be testing my patience already! When he gets frustrated and isn't getting what he wants, he arches his back, bites and maybe does a little slap or two. Yes, our sweet little Bennett is definitely growing up and learning that he can't always get his way. The other day I took something away from him so he threw himself down in the middle of the floor, put his hands over his eyes, and started to fake cry. I had to leave the room so he couldn't get a reaction out of me, but I was cracking up! Is this foreshadowing for the terrible twos? Ahhh my little Bennett.....never a dull moment.

Tongue out and pointing!

Glad to hear it's not just his cousins who can cause some trouble! I love hearing these stories and can't wait to see Mr. B again soon. Love and hugs!
