Sloane is 6 Months!

I feel like I keep saying this, but I can hardly believe Sloane is 6 months old. Feels like time goes by much faster with baby #2. Here are her stats from her Drs appt this morning:

Height: 28 1/4" - 98%
Weight: 15 lb. 10 oz. - 40%

Sloane is a sweet, calm little angel and such a blessing to our family. She just goes with the flow and rarely fusses. She is blowing bubbles, babbling a ton (very loudly), laughing, rolling over, can sit without support for about 10 seconds, scoots backwards on her hands and knees, grabs anything that she can get her hands on and puts everything in her mouth. She still lights up at the sight of her brother, which just makes my heart melt.

Solids

We started baby Sloane on solids last week. So far she's had sweet potatoes, carrots and pears and seems to enjoy it. I've been feeding her rice cereal for awhile now which was only going so-so, but now she really seems to like 'real' food. I can hardly believe she's going to be 6 months old in a week. Where did my little baby go? She is growing up too fast! Check out all her blond hair too - thick and stick straight (the only thing she seems to have inherited from me). ha

College Gameday

Bright and early on Saturday morning, my Dad, Justin and Bennett headed to Stanford for ESPN College Gameday. Gameday in our house has been a Saturday ritual for years so when Justin heard they'd be broadcasting from the Stanford campus, there was no doubt he and the little guy would be there for a chance to see Erin Andrews.

Halloween Parade

It was an exciting day at Holy Cross Preschool today......the Halloween Parade! The kids sang a few Halloween songs and then paraded outside to trick-or-treat. It was so cute! Daddy and Grandma Shell came along, which is always wonderful.

Fire Chief Bennett. Notice the hands in his pocket. :)

Of course, I had to get my littlest pumpkin dressed up for the occasion.

Attempt at a class photo.....
B is always surrounded by the girls. So funny.

Lemos Farm

Yesterday we celebrated our friend, Lucy's 3rd birthday party at Lemos Farm (the same place we had B's 2nd bday). It's a great place with lots of fun things to do. B enjoyed a train ride, lots of time jumping in the jumpy house, operating a digger, picking out pumpkins, feeding goats, seeing chickens, and even eating donuts (his fave). He opted out of the pony ride which we were a little bummed about, but hopefully he'll go next year.

Me and my little pumpkins. Look how big Sloane is - 5 months today!

The birthday girl.
Annalia and B.
B is deciding which pumpkin he wants. Decisions, decisions.

He finally picked one!

This was the coolest! B got to operate a mini digger. He's really into anything that has to do with construction right now.
His hair was drenched with sweat. ha
