Eagle Crest

Bennett and I just returned from a lovely week at Eagle Crest with my family. We were sad Justin couldn't join us, but we still had a blast. I've been going to Eagle Crest every year with my family since I was in 7th grade, so it was extra special for me to make new memories there with my little guy and my favorite niece and nephew. :)

B and Kennedy cleaning the windows early one morning. Kennedy was getting potty trained so B and Carter enjoyed all the reward treats after she successfully used the potty.

Riding his bike from Papa and Gma.
We hit the pool everyday b/c it was so hot. B's favorite was getting thrown in the air by Uncle Kyle. B would sign "more" after each toss and Kyle kept going and going. He is such a good Uncle and so attentive to Mr. B.

Do you see how high Kyle threw him?

Every night Kyle would take the kids in the backyard and play football and soccer. The neighbor boys joined in on the fun too. The kids loved it and they were definitely worn out each night after all the activity.

We had deer sightings each day. B loved it!

Playing cribbage with Uncle Kyle.

Such a multi-tasker huh? Reading books with Papa and brushing his teeth at the same time.

Feeding the ducks. B left the big one eat bread right out of his hand. He loves animals.

Playing golf with Papa.

Wrestling with Uncle Kyle

We walked to the park every morning with the kids.

These two are so cute together, but a handful. I'm so glad I don't have twins! They were really loving toward one another or else playing tug-of-war.

Bike ride with Uncle Kyle. Doesn't Kennedy's helmet look so good on B?

Val's Wedding Weekend!

On July 3, 2010 my beautiful sister became Mrs. Mark Claeys. I can't begin to tell you how excited we were to celebrate the union of these two special people and to officially welcome Mark into the Phelan family. The weekend kicked off on Thursday and included 4 days of events. I must say, we had an incredible time. I'm most proud of our little partier, Bennett, who enjoyed every second and danced every chance he got.

It's not a Phelan wedding without a bagpiper

Me and my niece, Kennedy. I can't get enough of this girl and wanted to take her home in my suitcase. She agreed. Maybe next time?

Hiding in the church basement before the ceremony. Aren't my guys handsome?

The first of many photos :)

The bride kicking up her heels before she said, "I DO!"

I had the two little ones and I must say, thanks to lots of snacks, I was able to keep them quiet during the ceremony.

Big Ken and the beautiful bride. I cried so hard during this moment.

Beautiful reception at the Portland Art Museum

Cutting the cake, which I was too drunk to remember to eat.

She was so happy and relaxed :)

Salesforce Picnic

Saturday we went to J's company picnic at Menlo College. They had pony rides, jumpy houses, petting zoo, carnival stuff, giant slides, good BBQ, open bar, etc. B had a blast! This kid has definitely been exposed to lots of fun things lately. Gotta love summertime. :)

Fun Times

We had a busy, fun weekend and are enjoying this summer-like weather. Saturday we met friends at the St. Pius Festival. B enjoyed the kiddie rides and even rode some of the rides twice. Sunday we drove up to the city, had brunch in our old neighborhood, and hit up the Union Street Festival where B went on MORE rides. I tell ya, this kid lives a good life. :) We also dog sat for B's Guncles, Scott and Martin (bummed I forgot to get a pic of Lucy, the dog) but B was in heaven for 3 days with his little sidekick. He has been walking around the house saying, "No dog" over and over since Lucy left. It's breaking my heart!

On the helicopter ride with Daddy.
Going down the big slide with Kristi
This ride went kind of fast but B liked it.
In our old neighborhood at Cafe DeLucchi. They didn't have any highchairs. Gotta love city livin'.
B is in some train jumpy maze thing. He loved it and didn't want to come out.

Happy Hollow Park

Jules and I took the kids to Happy Hollow Park & Zoo in San Jose today. What fun! The weather was gorgeous (low 80's) and the kids had a ball. We will definitely be making many trips there over the summer.

First ride of the day.
At the petting zoo. B kept saying "Baaa" to the sheep.
A little love tap on the baby goat.
B was not afraid to feed the animals.
B and Annalia on the car ride.
Annalia was so polite and let B hog the steering wheel the entire ride.
Don't they make a cute couple?
On the lady bug ride.
